Gardjola Gardens, situated on the bastions of Senglea, provide breathtaking views of the Grand Harbour. Perched atop the bastion, these gardens offer stunning panoramas of Marsa, Valletta, the Grand Harbour, and Fort St. Angelo.
Originally designed by Grandmaster De La Sengle in 1551, the gardens feature a charming guard tower at the edge of the bastions. Known as ‘Il-gardjola,’ this tower is adorned with various sculpted symbols, including an eye, an ear, and a crane, which represent vigilance and protection of the Maltese shores.
