Located near Valletta in the neighboring town of Floriana, the Argotti Botanic Garden is home to a wide variety of plants, shrubs, and trees, mostly native to the Mediterranean climate. The garden focuses on propagating rare species at risk of extinction and hosts research projects for both undergraduate and postgraduate students each year. Additionally, the garden is involved in collecting, preserving, and cataloging specimens in its new herbarium. The plants are organized into different plots based on species, with some collections housed in greenhouses.
