Bengħajsa Family Park, once a transmitting field, is now one of the largest parks in southern Malta, located on the outskirts of Birżebbuġa. Spanning 17,000 square metres, it offers a lush green space for the community, with 4,000 trees, sustainable picnic areas, and informative boards showcasing the local flora. In August 2024, Project Green revealed plans to expand the park by 7,000 square metres, adding 140 new trees, recreational features such as slides, and accessible pathways. The development will also include public toilets, a security room, and the use of 100% permeable, eco-friendly materials, all designed to enhance the park’s natural beauty.
