The first-ever community garden in Qajjenza has revitalised a once-abandoned area, turning it into a dynamic and accessible space for the local community. Prior to this project, Qajjenza lacked public green spaces and recreational areas, with the site previously filled with construction waste. This garden has been created specifically as a community space, making it the first of its kind in the locality. The garden features newly planted trees, 200 meters of walkways, and ramps connecting two adjacent roads, making it accessible to everyone. Children’s play equipment made sustainably from recycled materials has also been added. This project is part of a wider effort to improve public spaces and benefit over a thousand families in the area.
